Never Cross an Angel, especially when its me
Out on the cliff, Arceus the Daemon stood, starring at the expansive black and white sky. The cool night air was harsher out in the mountains than down below in the beautiful city of Felaria, but after weeks of constantly coming up here, he was used to it, even finding it comfortable. Tonight, he was in one of his better moods after realizing all was quiet, no fighting or killing tonight, unless of course Lady Sangsue got bored and went out for a midnight snack. While they were friends, the look in her eyes still unnerved him every now and then.
As if on cue,he heard a harsh scream of what sounded like a human girl being attacked.Gee, I wonder what happened there, he thought sarcastically to himself. Obviously, the calm of the royal house had gotten to Lady Sangsue. Again. Well, I guess I should be heading back down to my home again, he decided to himself. But as he started gathering his lazy, half asleep body off of the cold, hard mountain rock, he heard a rustle in the bushes. Narrowing his gaze, he peered into the bushes. However, his eyes were no good in the pitch-black darkness of tonight. Oh dear lord, why couldn't I have vampire eyes every now and then?
Slowly standing up, he started drawing his sword in preparation of a fight. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, he thought fearfully. Slowly walking over to the bushes, he readied his sword for one killing stroke. But as he started moving the brush out of the way,he heard a low growl. Eyes going wide at the infinite possibilities of what could have just growled at him, he slowly stepped back. His sword arm, however, did not waver, and as he slowly backed up from the bushes, he slowly thought Dear lord, what next? . But suddenly, as he took his last step, the bushes, a loud bark attacked his ears. He flinched awfully, and tripped. Moving as far away from the bushes as he could, his heart beating faster and faster with every sound that came out of the bushes. Slowly, a few silhouetted forms rose from the bushes. As Arceus recovered from the fall, he realized they were two vampires, one holding a mutilated human in its forearms. Why did i ask that?

Have to try To break free from the thoughts in my mind. ____________________________________________________ Janxel stood on the edge of a high cliff, looking over the vast expanse of forest. The half moon shined down and illuminated the translucent beads on her black corset. She stood perfectly still, and perfectly straight, with her hands clasped at the base of her back. The cool night breeze caressed her wispy white dress, but the vampire kept a straight face even if she knew the wind was trying to make her move. She looked down, to the forest immediately below the cliff. How far down it was! For an instant, Janxel thought about jumping. She hated who she was. Who she had become. But she knew that the fall would not kill her. It was so hard as an immortal to find a way out. She had contemplated suicide countless times. She was twisted now. And she didn't want to be living anymore. If that was what you could call her circumstances.
Slowly and reluctantly, she turned away from the edge of the cliff to start walking the other way. She walked, not wanting to think about how sad her life was, or had been. And definitely not wanting to think of the frightening prospect of living forever. But soon, she came to a sight that was quite peculiar. And come to think of it, she hadn't talked to anyone in the entire expanse of Felaria since her first day here, when she was forced to talk to the ruler vampire. But that was the only other being she had come in contact with. But now, in front of her, she saw a creature she knew wasn't human, but she wasn't sure what it was. She watched as it fell back from looking through some bushes when two other figures emerged. Janxel moved behind the trunk of a tree, and pressed her thin frame against it, watching, but being unseen. She decided to watch what was going to happen before she made any interference.

Mess with an Angel, and there will be Heaven to pay
As far as he could remember, Arceus had never been more terrified in his life. He hadnt met many vampires in his eternal life, and even then, most of them didnt have brutalized humans in their hands. While he didnt feel much remorse for the "savage barbarian", he was nolt much for the blood and gore that went along with it. Seeing the insides of the poor man's throat just made him want to puke over the edge of the cliff. Ok,so there is a bloody, ripped up human in front of me, in the hands of two very blood-stained vampires. Both vampires look much stronger than i am, so fighting them would probably be a suicide fight. Not sure I can outrun a vampire, ive seen how Lady sangsue moves. How to respond... While the brain-dead, speechless daemon pondered what action to take, the vampires started whispering to themselves, occasionally looking over at the daemon and chuckling. Now that Arceus had adjusted to the shock of what happenned, he could make out their forms. They were obviously vampires, with skin as white as snow and cold emotionless eyes. The same eyes as Lady Sangsue. The eyes that seemed to bore into his soul... Also, one was a tall male with dark brown hair, while the other was an average height female with hair as black as tonight. Finally, they nodded to each other, and the female grinned a toothy, awful smile. Slowly, they stepped over the bush, dropping the human into them. Hey,Creature! At first glance you looked human, but now that i take a closer look, your too tall, and have a certain..."air" about you. I wonder if jumping off this cliff would kill me... he thought to himself as he slowly, shakily stood up. Closing his hand around his sword to ready for a fight. Uh...no,im not a human, im what is known as a daemon, among the people of the world. The female smiled again, and twitched her claws. Well well, never met a daemon before. Are you a good fighter?
...oh crap

Have to try To break free from the thoughts in my mind. ____________________________________________________ As she watched from behind a tree, Janxel gathered that both of the two figures were vampires, and that the other inhuman was not very fond of them. Janxel's eyes narrowed as she watched one of the other vampires deposit a marred body into the bushes they had previously emerged from. Such demons. She hated them. She hated herself. She hated what she had been forced to become. She listened intently to the words that they said, and tried to decipher the sounds from a distance. This was one of the perks of being a vampire. I'm what is known as a daemon. . . Janxel pushed her body to around the front of the tree. This was interesting. She had never heard of this species before. What could they possibly be?
As a vampire, you notice the tiniest movements, no matter what distance you are away from them. And that is why Janxel noticed one of the vampire flex her claws. What may have looked like a small twitch of the hand, Janxel knew as a sign that someone wanted a fight. This was not going to be pretty. Whatever this inhuman was, he was probably no match for two fully fledged vampires. She knew she should do something, or else she could never live with herself anymore. And her curiosity was building up about this peculiar type of creature. Janxel's own fingers gripped at the tree bark immediately at her back, and she watched them for a few more seconds before she heard her cue to come in slide across the female vampire's lips: Are you a good fighter?
In almost an instant, before the creature about to be attacked could pull out his weapon, Janxel appeared in a blur of black and white, standing between the two groups. She stood in an elegant pose, not threatening in the least, but with dignity. Her white, wispy skirt hung loosely about to her ankles. She held her hands daintily in front of herself at her stomach, but her dark blue eyes were troubled and accusing as she burned holes into the vampires with her stare. "Leave him be." Janxel's words were not a request, but a command. Her words just dripped finality. She wasn't looking for a fight, just some justice.

How far is an Angel willing to Fight?
Arceus was doomed, and he knew it. He was a great swordsman, and his magic was powerful, but he would be torn to shreds by two obviously powerful vampires. Looking from her eyes, to his eyes, to here eyes, and back again, he began to wonder how quickly they would tear him to shreds. How the heck are you supposed to answer that question to a bored, blood-hungry vampire? tightening his grip on his sword, he breathed in his first breath in the last two minutes. Not relaxing a muscle, he prepared to respond to the two grinning monsters before him. But as he opened his mouth, a flash of movement, faster than he could even follow, moved between him and the vampires.
His breath was taken away. When the blur finally stopped between him and his aggressors, he noticed it had the same feral, thin-yet-strong structure of the vampires, leading to reason that she, too, was a vampire. However, she held her claws out to them menacingly, speaking in a stern, cold, defiant tone Leave him be. At once, the playful look in the woman vampires eyes disappeared, replaced with one of annoyance. Obviously, she had really been looking forward to killing this strange, new creature with ease and playful toying. At once, the male vampire got a dark, angry look. For some reason, if he hadn't felt like killing this daemon before, he wanted to slaughter him now. Him and his apparent friend.
Step aside weakling, we are having a fun night, and we dint want any party poopers! The male yelled at this new vampire in a defiant, angry tone. Obviously, he had planned on a fun evening, with absolutely no intrusions. As the two vampires jumped a few feet away from this vampire in the middle, Arceus drew his sword and leaped to her side. Glaring at the vampires, he angrily spoke Would you rather die by blade or magic? I have no qualms about using either!
Hm,maybe I should have thought this through a little better...

Have to try To break free from the thoughts in my mind. ____________________________________________________ Janxel could tell almost instantly that these two vampires were not amused by her showing up, nor were they all that pleased. Her presence seemed merely a nuisance to them, as if she were a tiny child always getting in the way. Well, they would just have to learn the hard way. Janxel wasn't looking for a fight, but if the other two vampires were, they were sure as hell going to get one. Her own light expression changed to a shadowy one as soon as she felt the anger and annoyance emanating from these two monsters in front of her. Step aside weakling, Janxel pursed her lips tightly at the word, We are having a fun night, and we didn't want any party poopers! Janxel raised an eyebrow, letting her once angry expression relax into a more patronizing one.
She spoke to the male vampire. "Your lack of vocabulary insults my intelligence. I suggest you back out now, before something horrible starts, and you are reported to the Royals faster than you can say 'You'll never take me alive.'" The last phrase was so sarcastic, and aimed towards mimicking the vampires to portray them in a criminal way. Hopefully, they would get the message. But then again, they might not, seeing as they didn't seem very intelligent creatures. But then, both of them moved very quickly, as if they were preparing to strike. And in the same instant, the inhuman creature that had previously been behind Janxel was right next to her, with his blade drawn. She snapped her head in his direction, and then back to the vampires that wanted someone to die.
Would you rather die by blade or magic? I have no qualms about using either! Janxel listened closely to the Daemon's words. Magic! Could she possibly be thinking of the same type of magic as he was saying he could use? This was going to be interesting if there was a fight. Which, there probably would be, as this inhuman pretty much just challenged the vampires' strengths. And unless you have a death wish, it is something that you should never do. But hadn't they challenged Janxel's strength by calling her a weakling? Yes, yes they had. And if they wished, they would get a taste of her strength, as well as this unusual creature's magic. . .

The Wrath of an Angel is Mighty
Obviously, Arceus's last statement had turned some heads. Both his female vampiric ally and the two knuckle heads in front of him looked with an intrigued look. Obviously, magic was either not very common or not very expected of him. His ally spoke defiantly to their enemies Your lack of vocabulary insults my intelligence. I suggest you back out now, before something horrible starts, and you are reported to the Royals faster than you can say 'You'll never take me alive. Oh, how their eyes burned! Both of them barred their fangs and flicked their claws again. Smiling to himself, he spoke quietly to his ally I dint believe i have thanked you for arriving at the time you chose to do so, and I am eternally grateful. Might I inquire as to the name of my feral-yet-elegant savior? As he spoke, he slowly seeped his magic into his blade, which suddenly shimmered with the powerful white energies embedded within it.
Obviously, both his friend's comment and the fact that he was now casually making conversation with her seemed to push the female aggressor over the edge. With a feral roar, she leaped at Arceus, yelling Its time that I, Rasha, stopped playing with my food! The male roared as well, leaping toward Arceus's companion with feral strength fueled by his anger, matched only by Rasha's. And I, Burton, will happily join in as well!
Arceus was knocked to the ground, unprepared for the ferocious attack. And all of a sudden, blood filled the air...

Have to try To break free from the thoughts in my mind. ____________________________________________________ Janxel matched the enemies' snarl with a menacing one of her own, but she felt a different energy coming from the inhuman beside her. It was light, and carefree. Like he hadn't a care in the world. A wrong thing to be when dealing with angry vampires. She felt him get closer. I don't believe I have thanked you for arriving at the time you chose to do so, and I am eternally grateful. Janxel didn't break the gaze of the vampire directly in front of her, but she was listening intently. Why did he need her help? She came because he seemed in trouble, but the fact that he could supposedly work magic was beyond anything Janxel had ever seen, or even imagined. Maybe he would have been able to take these creatures on by himself.
Might I inquire as to the name of my feral-yet-elegant savior? Wow, what a sweet talker this guy was. Any other girl would think of his speech as chivalrous, and caring. But Janxel had heard it all before, and made no gestures toward the daemon, and did not even look at him. "Jinx is all you need to know me as." she mumbled more to herself than to him, but she was pretty sure that he heard her anyway. Her nickname, Jinx, was so contradictory to her actual being. A jinx was someone who brought bad luck and doom. But Janxel, wherever she went, seemed to bring luck and good fortune with her. The name didn't fit her at all, but she stuck with it nevertheless. Some people may see her as a Jinx. Such as the vampires who were about to get their asses kicked.
The vampires, obviously angered that the inhuman thought this would be an appropriate time for casual conversation (which in no way was), picked this time to lunge at the two. While leaping through the air, they both introduced themselves. How. . . formal. Who did they think they were, Team Rocket? Not that Janxel even thought about where she recalled Team Rocket from, for she had very limited time to react. As the male vampire came at her with his claws outstretched, Janxel crossed her forearms in front of where he was about to strike, deflecting his hit with her bare skin. Two deep slashes were left in her once flawless skin. At first, no blood poured out. But soon, as the ridiculously slow heartbeat of a vampire slugged the unused blood through her veins, a deep, blackish liquid started to seep out.
As Janxel saw the male come at her again, she flipped up into the air, completing a backward somersault, and managing to kick the vampire in the chin and sending him backwards all at the same time. Watching him fall roughly on the ground from the unexpected attack, Janxel took a split second to look to her right to see how her new ally was doing in his fight against the female.

Angelic Arrogance never pays. Remember that...
Obviously, Arceus's carefree and arrogant attitude had snapped a nerve in his vampiric aggressors. His last little attempt at conversation had yielded some fruit, however, as his friend replied Jinx is all you need to know me as. Hm, maybe not very plentiful fruit, but a fruit none the less. He smiled inwardly at the irony of her answer. However, it was a short-lived laugh, as the two vampires attacked. The male attacked jinx with full force and ferocity. As she tried to block his attack with her bare arms, he left bloody scratches. However, a flip kick from her to the chin put him down to the floor again. As he tried to gather himself, she turned to Arceus.
His luck was a little less than hers in his scuffle with Rasha. Her tackle at him had nearly ripped him completely open. As he gushed out blood onto his white clothes, he thrusted with his blade. More blood spilled onto him and the ground, as his white-magic charged sword struck her through the side. She let out a fierce yelp of anger and pain, swiftly reaching down to rip his throat out with her teeth.Oh crap! he yelled out in excitement, loving the thrill of this fight. He managed to move his head out of the way and bash her head into the hard stone of the cliff. As blood gushed out of her nose and the new slashes on her face, she jumped up to her full height again. This time, she grabbed him and readied to throw him off the cliff.
Not a chance! he yelled as she started stumbling toward the cliff. He unleashed a blinding flash of white magic directly into her face. This distraction seemed to do the trick, as she screamed in pain. She tossed him, but the disorientation of his attack managed to throw her off just enough so that he hit a rock wall 10 feet from the edge. However, his head smacked directly onto the wall, and blood soon started gushing out of his head too. Also, on impact with the wall, he heard a sickening crack in his left arm, and realized he couldn't move it anymore. As Rasha got up again, fire in her eyes, she started marching toward him again. Thinking of something to say to show his defiance, he yelled What, haven't had enough yet? At this, she pounced on him one final time. He grinned, however, and shoved his sword through her. She slumped immediately, and he tossed her to the side. Trying to stand up, he took a look at Jinx to see if she was OK.

Have to try To break free from the thoughts in my mind. ____________________________________________________ When Janxel looked over at her new ally to see how he was doing, he didn't seem to be having quite as much luck as her. He didn't seem to have as much skill as her, either. Although, his piercing stabs of magic seemed to harm the vampire he was fighting quite a bit. As Janxel turned around to face the male vampire she had previously kicked back, he had found his footing, and now stood hunched over, ready to lunge again. But he hesitated. Janxel saw him look to the side, where the inhuman now had killed the female. But Janxel didn't know that. All she saw was his attention slip away from her for a split second, and that was all Janxel needed. That was a fatal mistake.
As quick as she had kicked the male back before, it was her turn to lash out at him. Janxel flew forward, shoved her hands to the vampire's torso, hoisted him up, and smashed him into the ground within all of two seconds. He attempted to jump up, but as he did so, Janxel put her hands on either side of his head, holding him in place. She whipped his head around on his neck with a sickening snap before reaching down with her fangs, tearing a large patch of skin off of his neck, and decapitating the brute all together. After a few seconds, she threw the head to the ground where the body had landed, and composed herself. This was just another death on her hands. At least it was one of an evil creature.
Wiping her now bloodstained mouth on her wrist, but only managing to smear it across the right side of her jaw, Janxel walked over casually to where the inhuman lay. She would not offer a hand to him. She would not ask if he was okay. She stood in front of him, watching his attempts to get up, with her arms crossed in an elegant way. "What did you do to provoke them?" were the only words that she said.
