[Athena]

Athena was wondering the streets looking for one apartment. It was midnight, usually when the vampires come out to feed. So she was being cautious of anyone who saw her. Everyone watched her because of her unnatural height. " lenny hotel, apartment 4." She whispered to herself to remember. A few weeks ago she had gathered some information about a man who knew about her father. She had been trying to find her father since she was 85. Finally she had reached the hotel. She stood outside the door freezing from the midnight air. A gust of wind went by her and reminded her of the vampires out right now. Quickly she stepped inside and searched for apartment four.

At last she stood outside the door of apartment four. The hallway was small and smelled like rotting food. The wallpaper was peeling and there was mold on the ceiling. "How is this place still open?" Athena asked herself with curiosity and disgust. She knocked on the white door four times. "Hold on!" a voice called back. She waited for the door to open. When it did a man with a white t-shirt and jeans on. He looked just like slobs in the movies. There were food stains on his shirt and his belly popped out.

"who are you?" the repulsive man asked confused. "Im Athena, my mother is Angela. I was wondering if you could supply me with information about my father." "Oh, come on in. You can sit over there on the couch. Athena pushed several pizza boxes on the floor to make space for her. The man sat in a chair across from her and asked what she wanted to know. "well my mother was angela renel. Do you know anyone who was with a girl by that name?"

"your talking about old ang. She was real sweet. How is she doing?" "well i haven't seen her in a while." "oh, ok. There was a guy who dated her, he ran away when she got pregnant. I dont remember his name. Sorry" "its ok, thank you for your time." Athena stood up and left. Outside the cold air hit her like a punch to her face. She ignored the cold feeling and walked on. Athena was hoping that someone would become friends with her so she could have help with this search. No matter how long she searched, she knew for a fact that he was in the city.

Roran traveled throughout the human city once again, looking for whatever mischief he could start without getting caught. And maybe, if the prank was good enough, maybe he wouldnt mind getting caught... No,no, he promised Sangsue if he was going to torment the humans, he had to make sure they didnt see what he really was. Oh well, he would have to keep it down a notch. He looked down at his beautiful fox fur, and licked down a spot sticking up. With that, he jumped into an alley, and shapeshifted into his red-tailed hawk form. It didnt take too long, as it was nothing like the greusome changes werewolves made, and took flight. On the night air, he used his amazing eyes to look down and find something to do. Just then, he noticed a beautiful, tall girl with brown hair and blue eyes.

Well hello,what is going on here... he thought to himself. She looked a lot like Arceus, leader of the daemons in Felaria, which led him to believe that she was, of course, a daemon. Why are you out so late lady, there are vampires around here. I better keep an eye on you... he thought to himself as he dived and landed in another alley. As he proceded to shapeshift back into fox form, he saw her stop at one of the buildings. As a big gust blew by, he shived, and curled in a little. She stepped into the building, and after about twenty minutes or so, came out again, looking frustrated.

As she walked along, he stayed to the shadows, following her. Finally, he got up the nerve to go and make contact. As fast as he could, he ran untill he was about five feet behind her. he smiled, as he summoned some "fox fire" lanterns around himself, and sent them directly in front of her, sudden enough to scare her hopefully. For extra effect, he breathed a little fire at the back of her heels. Not close enough to burn her, just enough to feel the heat. Boo! he yelled. This would be fun...

As Athena was walking though the city to find a near by store, she began to feel like she was being watched. She could sense that there was someone walking behind her not far away. With this knowledge she was keeping to the shadows to hide her height. Suddenly there was a warm feeling behind her heels. Concentrating on where this warmth could come from, she almost didnt notice the small balls of fire in front of her. Startled she kept walking, hoping it was her imagination. "Boo!." a voice yelled from behind her. She stood in one place. Her eyes were wide with fear. "What can produce fire like that?" she asked herself.

Athena turned around and saw a fox sitting on the ground. The fire around him lit up the silver spots on its fur. Looking at the amount of tails immediately let Athena know what it was. "Kitsune, i havent seen on of these in at least fifty years." she thought to herself as she examined the fox. A ball of light went past his face and revealed his eye color. His left eye was a light grey while his right was a deep green. "Did i scare you?" The fox asked as if it had achieved something. "Uhmmm, yes. I think making someone stop and turn around counts as scaring them, or getting their attention."

Athena relaxed when his voice revealed no sign or harming her. She remembered how cold it was and wanted to go to the nearest store for warmth. "If its ok, im going to go in to this store and buy a jacket, it is very cold." "go ahead." the fox replied still sitting on the side walk. She turned to her left and walked through the door. A small bell rang as it opened. The cashier glanced up from the paper she was reading to see who it was. Athena smiled and ducked her head down so she wouldnt draw much attention.

It was a small tourist store. It had two racks of clothing that matched with the season. She looked at the jackets to find her size. Suddenly she herd the small bell go off again. To be sure she looked at the door to see who it was. It was a teenager with dark hair. He was tall and had to be at least sixteen. One glance at his eyes told her he was the the kitsune from outside. He walked over to her and said hi. "Hello." she said in response. Her hand grabbed a random jacket and she began to try it on. It was to small for her. She placed it back on the rack and grabbed another. "Im Roran. Who are you?" "Im Athena. Any particular reason you scared me outside?"

"Just to have fun." She found a jacket that fitted her and began to walk to the counter. Her stomach complained before she got there. "Oh, i havent eaten in days." She thought to herself. Athena turned around to grab a snack from the food section. Roran was following her there. Athena bit her bottom lip as she tried to decide on what to buy. "Don't you like to have fun?" He asked. "yes, but not when it scares the crap out of someone." His expression changed as if he had gotten an idea. He turned around and made his way to the door. Roran looked around at the others in the room. Unnoticed, he picked up a few firecrackers on the shelf next to him.

A young girl was checking out a few food items at the counter. When the girl got a few feet from the door he placed the fire crackers in her bag. The alarm went off and the girl stood confused. The girl at the counter stood up to check her bag. Roran silently laughed at his prank. Athena just watched while she pretended to look at candy bars. She grabbed a random one and waited at the counter for the searched to end. When the items were paid for she put the jacket on and walked outside. Roran followed her out not buying anything. As they walked through the night, they talked about random things.

Roran had been having a lot of fun talking with Athena after his meddling at the store. When they left, he decided to stay in his human form so as to not attract the attention of the idiotic creatures in the houses to their left and right. They went on and on, talking about the most random topics that they could think of, from their own history to why peanut butter is so sticky. Roran talked about some of his favorite pranks, and Athena talked about her parents. While it was a sad story, Roran made a note not to get too upset about it for, as he explained to her, it sometimes got in the way of moving on and enjoying your life to the fullest.

It was a great time, and eventually, Roran decided to do something stupid. Again. He reverted to his original fox form and started rubbing his tails together. Grinning, he started to conjure sparks from all four of them. And finally, he created a whip of lightning. He started twirling it around. Hey Athena, check this out! He laughed. But then, remembering that he couldn't show off his powers in the human part of town, he started to power it down.

However, he stumbled and lost control of it. the lightning flew, and went into a window. Immediately, the glass melted, and the inside burst into flames. Eyes wide open, he yelled Nooooooo! Panicing, he reverted to his human form and ran to the fire, hoping along the way he would find a way to figure out how to stop it.

About halfway into the conversation Roran reverted to his fox form. The little fox grinned as if he had something on his mind. He began to create sparks with all four of his tails until he had a whip of lightning. Athena watched as he began to twirl the bolt of electricity. "Hey Athena, check this out!" He laughed as he focused on the electricity. She only glanced at him when he said this, her eyes were focused on the stream of light he had. Suddenly the bolt began to lose power, confused, Athena looked at Roran. He seemed to have lost control because the lightning hit a nearby window. The glass melted lighting the inside of the building in flames. Roran's eyes widen at this and yelled. Both were panicking as he reverted to his human form.

Roran was running to the fire as well as Athena a few feet behind him. Athena ran inside to look for anyone caught in the fire. As she was doing this Roran was putting the fire out. She ran upstairs in to the bedrooms. Nobody was there, only empty beds. Running everywhere in the home, she found no one. Confused, she took a closer look at the burning furniture and walls. It was obvious that this house was abandoned. She walked outside to find many humans watching the commotion. "Pesky humans, and their need to know everything thing attitude." She thought annoyed with the curious eyes.

Athena began to look for Roran who was still putting the fire out. He seemed to have it under control, so she went over to blend in with the humans. She didnt succeed at this because she towered over all of them. Soon enough the sound of sirens came around the corner. Someone had called the fire department to come help. By the time they got there the fire was out thanks to Roran. Athena looked up to see the smoke rising to the now blue sky. Roran came over and stood next to her when the fire was put out.

Athena laughed at the events that had just occurred and began to walk. She noticed that she began to feel a bit tired and was looking for a place to sleep. Noticing that she had a few dollars left, she went to a near by hotel to get some rest and clean up. On the way there Roran and Athena picked up the conversation where it left off. After a few hours Athena was well rested and clean.

Roran was happy. Worried and hoping Sangsue wouldn't string him alive for what he did, but happy for the most part. Athena was very kind, and the whole tall factor was awesome. He prefered to stay in his fox form as they were walking and talking, it was so much easier to walk in. Besides, any humans will just think she is a tall, insane woman talking to her dog. he mischievously thought to himself. They eventually got to a hotel, where they eventually slept and bathed. Separately, of course. Athena smacked him pretty hard when he offered to "help her wash her back", and then trying to curl up next to her on the couch as she rested for a few hours as a fox almost got him booted out the door.

When they awoke again, it was still moderately dark. They set out again, and began the conversation where they had left off. It really was interesting, she was very knowledgeable. Every now and then, he would prank her with a little fox fire, but other than that, he was on his best behavior. Except for the time he singed the foot of a human passerby. Eventually, he told Athena that they needed to head to the city, and out of these stupid human apartments.

With that in mind, they began walking to the city, pranking along the way as usual. He was really going to ask Sangsue what to do about the fire he started. And maybe, if she decided to kill him, he would maybe prank her...

On the way to the hotel Roran stayed in his fox form making Athena look crazy. She was an abnormally tall girl talking to an animal that was following her. Many looked at her with curiosity, but she ignored them knowing that they would never understand. When they had reached the hotel Athena went to the bathroom to clean up. Outside the door Roran offered to wash her back, which got him a smack in the head when she got out. There was only one bed and a couch. Athena rested on the couch leaving the cold bed for Roran. Just before she fell asleep, she felt something small and fuzzy next to her. It was Roran in his fox form. Athena pushed him off the small couch slightly irritated from her lack of sleep. "I should let him sleep outside. He is an animal at the moment, and animals dont belong inside." she thought to herself with a small smile.

When both were awake Athena brushed her hair and stood up to leave. They headed out the door in the chilly night air. There were many buildings that polluted the night sky with light. Little stars were visible through this. The small gust of wind made her shiver. She pulled her purple jacket on and zipped it up. It didn't work as well as she wanted it too. The cold air managed it's way in her jacket. They continued their conversation where it had left off just before she fell asleep.

Roran listened to everything Athena said with great interest. She liked being able to talk to someone who liked what she had to say. Every once in awhile Roran would pull a prank with his fox fire. Each time it took Athena by surprised and scared her a bit. From how he had acted before, Roran was on his best behavior. There was only one time during the conversation where he pulled a prank on someone that wasn't her. It was still dark and a young male human was walking past them. He was listening to music from an mp3 player. A dark hoodie made him hard to see in the dark moonlight. Roran lit some fire at the young mans feet. He jumped in pain and confused as to how that had happened. Athena laughed when he was far enough way not to hear her.

When they finished laughing at the human's pain, Roran suggested they go to the city and out of human apartments. She agreed to this and walked in that direction. Along the way Roran pulled pranks on strangers and Athena. In the city Athena began to feel hungry and looked around for a nice place to find food. She realized that she spent her money on the hotel, and ignored her hunger. Suddenly she felt watched. Athena usually had this feeling, and most of time its false. So she ignored it and continued walking.
