Cobalt Blues and Dangerous Hues ---------- Over the vast hills, valleys and mountains flew a large figure. From a view on the ground, it would look like merely a large bird. A hawk perhaps. But from the blue skies in which it flew, it was much larger. It was gigantic, and scaly, and cobalt blue. It was a dragon. The blue phantom in the sky pounded his wings to keep his altitude, and ducked his head to maintain his speed. He looked down upon the expanse of mountainous land below him. And in an instant, the dragon was heading down in a nose dive at a ninety degree angle. To someone on the ground, it would look as if something had fallen from the clouds above and was heading down slowly. But the dragon's speed increased the farther down he got. Soon, he was approaching the top of a mountain that reached up to him.
As he rounded near to the mountain, he spread his wings out -which had previously been tucked into his sides- to slow himself, almost stopping on a dime. He gently fluttered to the surface of the mountain, looking around himself. This was a nice, secluded place. It looked very solitary and left alone, and the dragon appreciated it. For one thing he did not appreciate was company. He began walking in a random direction on the grassy mountain. In the process of doing this, he came to a rather precarious looking cliff over the edge of the mountain. The dragon stepped onto it, his long and curved claws clicking against the craggy surface of stone.
The blue dragon let out a mighty roar, opening his jaws so that his dagger-like teeth shone in the sunlight. This roar was a call, calling to anyone that was currently occupying the mountain. He was calling them out. He had only been in this civilization of inhumans for a month now. He was bored, and he wanted somewhere to rest without being disturbed. Whoever were the inhabitants of this mountain, he would fight them off before getting comfortable. Just to make sure they didn't catch him by surprise.

Terpsichore was on her mid-day walk on the Mountains when she heard a loud roar. "Wow, I haven't heard a roar that loud since my dad at Thanksgiving when Timmy ate all the stuffing." said Terpsichore, chuckling to herself. Terpsichore enjoyed the mountains. Here, she felt free and powerful. She felt like she could somehow relate to the mountains: strong, but at times, weak. After walked up the mountains to the top, there was another loud noise. Perhaps it was a snore from a mountain animal. When Terpsichore turned the corner, there was a beautiful, big, blue, dragon. She stood there, frozen in her tracks. "I've never seen a real-life dragon. Especially a sleeping one. I thought they were a myth." said Terpsichore, quiet and low. Terpsichore just stood there, thinking if she should turn around and head back down the mountains or creep past the sleeping dragon. "Well, I have a couple options." thought Terpsichore. "I could either keep going and pass the dragon very slowly so I don't wake it up or I could go back down to Felaria." Terpsichore had to make up her mind. She heard that dragons were great fighters and they usually won. Terpsichore didn't want to take chances, so she just walked back down the mountain, hoping that the dragon didn't wake up and attack her from behind.

Cobalt Blues and Dangerous Hues ---------- Cobalt waited for a few seconds, listening to the silence. He swung his cranium one way, then the other. No one answered his call. No other dragon, definitely, or he would have heard them. After a few seconds of sticking his nose into bushes and up into trees, he decided to lay down. The large blue dragon collapsed into a comfortable sleeping position, with his head rested on top of his front feet. He closed his eyes, but did not sleep. He was listening to what was around him. The only thing he heard for a while was the occasional chirping of a bird somewhere else. But this only lasted for a couple of minutes. Soon, Cobalt heard something approaching. Something with two legs, and it stopped when it saw him. Without opening his eyes, he knew all of this.
He waited, without giving it the impression that he was awake. And soon, he heard it walking away. Stealthily, Cobalt opened one eye, and looked at the being who had just approached him but was now going away. A humanoid it was, though Cobalt couldn't count on the appearance that it was really human. As the creature disappeared behind some trees, Cobalt rose to his feet. He trotted over in the direction the thing had gone quickly, and caught up to it by pushing away some branches with his large head. When he was behind it, he jumped, landing with a huge, ground shaking thud. Facing the female now, the blue dragon bared its teeth. "What purpose or right do you have to spy on me?" Cobalt's voice was defensive, and he demanded to know what this creature was doing.

Terpsichore started to talk down the mountain when she felt a thud on the ground. Terp turned around swiftly and looked saw the beautiful blue dragon. "What purpose or right do you have to spy on me?" the dragon said. "I was just.... I. I was on a walk up to the top of the mountain and I saw you and I didn't want to pass you. I was afraid you would wake up and.... attack. I decided I didn't want to take the chances to wake you up, so I just simply started back down the hill. But I was not trying to spy on you at all." said Terp in a timid voice. The dragon bared his teeth as though it had an evil smirk on its face. "I don't want to cause any harm to you, dragon. I also don't want you to cause any harm to me as well." said Terpsichore.
The dragon just stood there with that "smirk" on his face. Maybe he's thinking said Terpsichore to herself. Terp turned around and started to run down the mountain as fast as she could. She heard the flapping of wings, but she dared to look back. She kept on running till she almost passed out. She had to stop. She didn't hear any flapping wings, so she hid behind a tree just incase. She just had to stop to get a breath, even if it was only 5 seconds to catch a breath. After about 10 seconds, the tree was crushed by dragon body. She started to run again down the rest of the mountain. The dragon let out a mighty roar so loud that all the birds in Felaria flew away. Terp was getting closer and closer to the city, but her vision was becoming very blurry. She knew that she was about to pass out. She had to hid somewhere. From the side of Terpsichore's eye, she saw a cave. The entrance was only big enough for a person to get through it. No dragon could get through. Terp started to run towards the cave. She knew the dragon was right behind her. The dragon was catching up with her and before she knew it, she was in the cave, hiding. "I can't be playing cat and mouse all day." said Terpsichore out loud expecting the dragon to hear her. The dragon sat outside on the top of the cave and let out another roar. Terp sighed. I guess it might be a while before I can come out said Terp to herself. She had to make a plan and a plan fast. She had other things to attend to other than a feisty dragon.
