Sin breathed in. This was the first time he had been outside in quite a while. This will be the town I stay in, he thought. Try to be accepted in. And hope that nothing like the last town would happen. He smiled, and looked around. Seeing no one, and feeling weary, he began to rest, though not sleep. "I hope this will work out", he said wearily. He had not been in a city away from humans before. He always lived in there shadows, and though he knew he was partially one of them, they didn't. He took of his hat, and began to sit, and listen to the unusual sounds around him, the occasional howl in the distance, lulling him into a state of calm.
The thing he didn't realise was that the howls seemed to get closer with every one. He wasn't used to them, so he thought that maybe age was a factor. He began to squirm, as the thought he cought an unknown sent, wafting from nearby, up in the mountains, though not sure who it was, and being around humans, it just smelled unusual to him, as he couldn't define race. This eventually worried him, as he wasn't used to the area. He left when he was a child and moved to Gevaudan, France, as his father said he remembered a man there, who was killed, but was different. He wasn't like the others. This popped into Sin's mind, as shortly after his father mentioned this, he learned of the town history, and remembered the beast attacks there, and how the beast also had an unknown smell to it.

Dax had been following this sucker for a while. Sure, this guy was a lot taller than him. And sure, Dax knew that if he just straight out revealed himself, he would most likely get his ass kicked. But only if he tried to fight. Which was something Dax wouldn't do unless he was totally sure he would win. In this case, he was totally sure that he would lose.
The fire faery crouched down behind a bush that concealed him pretty well. Behind his back was the bush, and behind that bush was where he knew the tall guy was. Dax had seen him on the streets, looking at everyone like they were all about to jump at him and try to kill him. Instantly, it clicked in the faery's mind that this was the kind of person that he spent all day looking for. They were the most vulnerable. And, being naturally silent and graceful as he was, Dax was able to follow the nervous stranger all the way to this solitary cliff. Stupid dude. If he was so nervous about the world (or at least the city of Felaria) out to get him, the last place he should come is some abandoned place where he's totally out in the open and anyone could be creeping up in the bushes behind him. Literally, in his case now.
Dax turned around to face his prank victim, as the moon started to rise in the twilight lighting. Silently, he looked down at both of his hands, and rubbed them together. He snapped once, and there was a rather large flame that grew in the very palm of his hand. This fire instantly caught onto the bush in front of him, and he ran to another about 10 feet away, as fast as he could, and before the bush was entirely engulfed in flames. Dax had a devilish sneer on his face as he watched the halfbreed's reaction.

Sin jumped at the sight of the flames. Startled, he bagan to curse, and started looking around hastily for the cause. Unknown to him, he decided to jump up on one of the rocks surrounding him. "Look!", he shouted,"If someone's here, show yourself! I'm not looking for a fight, but if you want one, you've found it!" He looked around constantly, not finding anyone.
He continued to look around, then he saw a small figure about 15 feet away. He went over. "Did you start this?" he inquired. Looking to pick a fight, he went over and loomed above the small figure, snarling to reveal his fangs. This was to make him look more violent. This would be his major thing, as it was not his plan to do anything more than argue. Hopefully, he thought, this would not take long, and he could move on to bigger and better things. And, this would be quite an experience, as his first encounter in Felaria.

Dax really couldn't help himself. He began to laugh as quietly as he could when he saw the other inhuman jump and curse. He was now crouched down behind the bush that he'd ran to, although this one didn't seem to be as large as the one he'd set fire to. So he just sat in a criss-cross position with his face his in his hands, trying to silence his own laughter. If someone's here, show yourself! The fire faery snorted inwardly. "Fat chance of that happening." he whispered to himself. But then, the other's words seemed to catch his attention. I'm not looking for a fight, but if you want one, you've found it! Dax raised his eyebrows at the statement. It might be interesting to see what this guy would do in the case that someone did want to fight him.
The thin boy stood up behind the bush, brushing the back of his jeans off, and walked out in front of it with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face. Almost instantly, he could see that the tall guy was making his way over, obviously a little bit pissed off. But in Dax's mind, he had nothing to worry about. If this dude was a full blooded vampire, maybe. But he wasn't. And the only thing that human blood in one's veins did was hold them back. He could surely hold his own against this guy long enough to get away, if not outrun him. Dax could smell that he wasn't full blooded. As the halfbreed made his way over, the faery didn't move from his defiant pose.
Did you start this? Dax smiled at the stranger. Though it was more of a patronizing gesture. The fire faery raised a hand to scratch at his forehead and then push the violently red hair that was hanging in front of his face back a bit. "Yeah. . . I did do that, didn't I?" He laughed a little after he asked the sarcastic question. Dax backed up a little bit when the tall guy snarled at him, showing fangs. Seeing as Dax was rather short, it wasn't hard for the other to loom over all five feet and eight inches of him. He uncrossed his arms and held them in fists at his sides. "You really wanna start a fight? You don't know what you're getting yourself into." Dax could feel himself heat up inside. It was natural. "Well let's go, you son of a bitch."

Sin moved in as close as possible, trying to stay near his attacker, certain he could overpower him at close range. He started by trying to throw punches, but they all missed, as Sin was used to fighting larger opponents his whole life, and hadn't fought in years, only hunted. He then decided to try to slash, as he knew he had claws. He learned this as a child, when he killed his pet rabbit scratching it's ear. He then drew his knife, as this foe seemed to be able to dodge his many attacks. While doing this, he accidently cut his hand with the blade, as he held it backwards. He watched the blood dripping down the blade, and it induced a flashback.
While not consciously attacking, he turned violent. In these flashbacks that haunted him, the evil inside his mind took over his body. He began to slash madly with the knife, attempting to hit his evasive foe, and trying to splatter his blood across the ground. This would likely not happen though, as he was acting on pure instinct and not able to think about his actions.

Dax was quick on his feet, as was a trait of his race. But being a fire element, he was even more so skilled in the art of fast footwork. He could probably outrun all other types of faeries except for of course the wind kind, but they were as light as the wind itself so they didn't count. Dax had confidence in himself and what he was doing, although this tall guy wasn't really giving him chances to retaliate. Punches were thrown, but Dax easily dodged them all. When he got a chance to pause, words escaped from his mouth. "Come on, dude. You can do way better than that." But as Dax watched, the stranger seemed to be pulling something out od a pocket. Oh, shit. He didn't have any weapons with him.
However, Dax was relieved to see that the other inhuman had only cut himself with the blade that he'd tried to reveal and use. The faery backed up a few steps, pretending to inspect the other's form. He leaned down with his hands on his knees, and started laughing out loud. He could smell the blood that now dripped slightly from the other's hand. Dax straightened, and wiped an invisible tear from his eye. "Man, you really need to practice more often." His voice was still plagued with mocking laughter.
But then, something seemed to happen to this other inhuman. He suddenly seemed more primal, more animalistic, and set on seriously hurting Dax. The faery raised his eyebrows, but either in fear or surprise he didn't know. One slash with the knife came, and Dax managed to dodge the next few by back-handspringing away a few feet. But just as he regained himself, putting his feet flat on the ground, the knife in the other's hand came directly next to his face. Luckily, it followed through and didn't touch him. Dax looked at the stranger with wide, golden eyes. He dodged a couple more slashes, but the last one managed to slice a rather large line through his upper arm. "Damnit!" he yelled. "Dude, calm the fuck down!" In his anger, Dax conjured a tiny ball of fire in his hands and threw it directly at the other's chest.

Sin flipped backwards on impact. He caught himself, and the smell of the faery's blood awoke him from the trance. His eyes shifted back to normal. But at the smell of blood, he was drawn. He hadn't fed on anything but animal blood. This would be a nice meal. "Sorry about that. A little bit of a childhood issue." He licked the blood from his hand, and then he used a piece of his shirt that had caught fire to seal the wound. It was painful, but it worked. "Now," he said nonchalantly,"I'm rather hungry. Would you like to help a guy out?" Sin jumped over at Dax, as fast as he could.
Sin tried to stab Dax, just enough to slow him down. Though, he kept having to repeat the attempt, trying to get him in the back of the knees. This will be interesting, I haven't had inhuman blood, Sin thought, and kept trying to get Dax in the knees, or at least somewhere to slow down his movements enough to pounce. This would be a challenge, as it was near impossible for Sin to get a single shot on him, now, and would be harder still to catch him, even slowed. This was going to be a task that would lead to pride, able to capture one much superior with speed.

The fire faery didn't care what the halfbreed did while he was inspecting the deep slash that the knife had gotten in his upper left art. He knew that his fire had hit, and he only looked up for a second to see that its power had sent the stranger quite a ways back. Sorry about that. A little bit of a childhood issue. Dax sneered at the half-vampire. "I don't care about your sob-story of a history, okay dude?" This guy had really struck a match on Dax's already short temper, so to speak. Now Dax was determined to make the sucker pay for what he'd done. Of course the wound would heal, and in a few weeks, even the scar would be gone. Faeries were like that. But that didn't mean it didn't hurt like a mother.
Dax held his arm out so that the blood could drip onto the grass has he lifted his right hand, trying to warm the spot of the wound with his inner heat. That would help it close up fast, as well as help platelets form so that it would scab over without him having to waste any of his clothing to use as a tourniquet. But he was interrupted by the other's voice. I'm rather hungry. Would you like to help a guy out? "Oh, fuck." was all that Dax had time to get out. He jumped back just as the halfbreed had jumped forward, and ran another way. But by the pattern of movements that the other was repeating (and in turn, Dax dodging), it seemed as though he were trying to stab his legs. It made sense. Injured prey was the easiest to catch. But if he did manage to get ahold of one of his legs, Dax would be dead.
"You're crazy!" Dax screamed at the other inhuman, his voice cracking as the last syllable tore from his throat. As he made another sharp turn, Dax managed to twirl around. "Here, have some! I don't taste very good!" As he whirled around, he slung his left arm in the direction of the half-vampire, and some of the blood that was still oozing out from the places that hadn't really scabbed was sent flying toward the other. Dax hoped for it to land on his face. Really, faeries weren't good for vampires. There was a reason that they were almost exact opposites in every way, shape and form.

It was working. He managed to scare this little faery. The blood did land on his face. He didn't do anything about is. He was driven to attack this little creature. He was going to cripple him, and then leave. This would let him walk away harmlessly. "You see, little faery, I don't care about taste. I'm just curious. I haven't had anything but animal blood for the longest time, and I just wonder exactly how much better or worse you will be." Sin gave a demented laugh, and tried to stab him at the base of the spine, for easy paralysis.
He was having quite a time. Fighting made him feel... Alive. It was a great rush, and he loved the thrill he was experiencing. "You'll find I don't give up so easily. If I'm willing to burn myself just to keep going, imagine what I'll do to you..." He gave an evil grin, and decided that the legs would be easiest to scar after a little game of cat and mouse. "I learned from a great man to never give up, and I don't plan to as long as I can remember his blood being splattered across my face." He gave a final lunge, only this wasn't with the knife. This was directly at Dax. With his claws. The knife was totally forgotten in his left hand, and he was driven to show Dax who he had messed with.

You see, little faery, I don't care about taste. Dax held a disgusted look on his face. He really didn't appreciate being called "little faery." It was very offensive to him, discriminating even. He could feel the fire inside burn hotter, and the wound on his arm had stopped bleeding. Dax's upper lip was drawn into a snarl-like expression as he watched the other inhuman very carefully, dodging whatever attack was thrown at him. "Listen, halfling. I'm not just something that you hunt. I'm stronger than you are, and I've seen a lot more life than you have." A lithe cartwheel helped Dax dodge a few stabs with a knife. "I will school you, son!" he said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Dax could barely listen to the other inhuman's next words without wanting to puke. He looked at the other man honestly for a moment and said, "Again, with the whole childhood thing. I don't care." His voice was so sincere, it was patronizing. He smiled at the halfbreed before having to dodge the knife once again. "But that man taught you wrong. There are some cases where you have to give up. Sometimes, the cowards are the only ones who survive." Dax threw some flames at the half-vampire out of thin air. It seemed that he was dancing through them to keep his distance from the other. "You have to take that into consideration."
Dax kept running and leaping, until out of nowhere it seemed, the halfbreed came with a strong blow of his claws. It was so fast, that Dax barely had time to do anything but lean backward, on the tips of his toes. The claws only managed to rip the front of the faery's shirt and make shallow lacerations in his chest. But Dax's reflexes kicked in fast. From the position of closeness that he was in to the other inhuman, Dax snapped his fingers with his right hand, directly next to the other's left ear, where small flames spit out at the side of his head. Dax danced away and off to the side to watch the halfbreed very closely.
